Personalized Approach
As no two children are alike, our pediatric practice offers a personalized approach that focuses on the unique health care needs of each patient. At Live Well Pediatrics our goal is to establish a trusting bond between a child’s family and the pediatric primary care team who oversees the child’s health and well-being within a community-based setting.
Multi-phase Care
Uninterrupted developmental, preventative, and acute and chronic sick care are provided from birth through transition to adulthood. A medical home is like an old-style family doctor’s office, but with a whole team of professionals. Together, we can make the most of modern medical knowledge and technology to provide excellent and comprehensive care to assure our patients grow and stay healthy through each and every stage of their lives with us.

Get to Know Us
Dr. Melissa Segal, MD
Dr. Segal has been caring for the children of Live Well Pediatrics (formerly known as Dr. Stacey M. Hecht, P.A.) since 2001. She is a graduate of Barnard College and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. After she completed a residency in General Pediatrics in California, she returned to the East Coast to practice primary care pediatrics. Dr Segal is on staff at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. She worked for a small group in Teaneck, NJ for two years before joining Dr. Stacey M. Hecht in Waldwick, NJ. Dr. Segal also has served as the school physician for the Ramsey School District for the past 12 years. Her areas of special interest include early childhood development and the care of premature infants. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she now lives with her husband and two sons in Rockland County, NY. Dr. Segal’s interests include: Gardening, Theater, Skiing and Travel.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Live Well Pediatrics is committed to making the process of choosing a pediatrician for your family a pleasant and informative process. We offer complementary prenatal visits with our physicians on Saturday mornings prior to the onset of our office hours. At the information session you will meet with one of our Doctors who will discuss our practice, give you a tour of the office, and answer any questions you may have.

One of the events we look most forward to at Live Well Pediatrics is the well child visit. Not only is it a great time to talk about any concerns you may have, it also allows us the chance to get to know your child more thoroughly. During the visit, we encourage you to ask any and all questions you have about your child’s growth, nutrition, development, behavior and general all around health.
